Dakota’s full bar offers all your favorite beer and wine selections alongside their signature cocktail menu. Try a sip of their Ivy Rose, crafted with Belvedere vodka, Licor 43, lime juice, rosemary infused simple, watermelon cubes, rose water, and a rosemary garnish. Girl’s Best Friend is a fun concoction made up of Ketel One vodka, Chandon Rose, raspberries, simple syrup, and lime juice. Both these drinks are served “up.” For something a little different, order the Bluegrass Perfection, a unique drink created with Woodford Reserve bourbon, honey orange infused simple, bitters, and orange rind garnish.

Start your night with Dierks’ Lemonade, a mixture of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, muddled raspberries, fresh lemon and sparkling water, or try the “New” Fashioned, made with Bird Dog blackberry whiskey, fresh blackberries, black walnut bitters and fresh lemon over crushed ice. For a beer-infused cocktail, try the Redneck Shake: Kraken rum, Giffard vanilla liqueur, fresh lemon and Boulder Shake chocolate porter. Of course, with a name like Whiskey Row, you know there are plenty of different whiskey types available; make your own drink, or have it straight up!

Whiskey Row has a solid selection of lunch and dinner options for you to choose from, including many traditional bar staples and Southern favorites. Start your meal with one of their mouth-watering appetizers, such as fried pickles, red pepper hummus—served with fresh veggies and pita—or grilled whiskey wings. For your entrée, the Southern staple of chicken & waffles is a crowd pleaser, while the whiskey burger is one of our favorite meals anywhere. Whiskey Row does offer salads as well, including a kale and quinoa salad for vegetarians (meat-eaters can add chicken for $4 more).

Whiskey Row wouldn’t be a true country bar without live music, and it delivers in spades. You’ll find someone carrying a lively tune here most nights, with Acoustic Fridays being particularly memorable. Another great option is the Spark Plug, crafted with Smirnoff vanilla vodka, Irish cream liqueur, cold brew coffee, and coffee ice cubes. Finally, the ladies will love the Endless Summer, a delicious drink created with rose champagne, Veev Acai, muddle strawberry, and orange peel.

If you’re looking to visit The Montauk during their specialty hours, weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday features live music from 11am to 1pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday, with a DJ following. The Montauk’s “The Happiest Hours” are from 3pm to 6pm Monday thru Friday, and Friday & Saturday from 11pm to 1am. Wine Down Wednesday brings 50% off bottles of wine from 3pm to 11pm and live music from 7pm to 11pm. Finally, Reverse Happy Hour on Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm to 1am brings cheap eats, $3 draft beer, $4 well cocktails, and $5 glasses of house wine.

If you’re looking to get out of your vacation home for a night on the town, look no further than Jade Bar in Scottsdale at Sanctuary Camelback Resort and Spa. The word swanky describes it perfectly. The bar’s namesake is its beautiful jade onyx drink rail.
A Scenic Spot to Drink
Beyond the drink rail, perhaps the best feature of Jade Bar is its floor to ceiling windows. Looking through them as you sip your vodka martini, you can gaze at the whole of Paradise Valley and Camelback Mountain. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, there is live jazz, pop, and R&B. The drinks and food at Jade Bar aren’t priced for their quality. You can get an excellent cocktail for less than $10 and beef sliders for $2. The bar hosts a cocktail hour called “The Pour” every day between 4 and 6 p.m. A select menu of wines and upscale cocktails are available during the Pour—think cantaloupe martinis and an Old Fashioned. The Pour always include one specialty cocktail created by the bar’s mixologist.
Sundays are special, too. “Sundays in Paradise” includes live music on the outdoor patio, 50% off bottles of wine between 1 and 5 p.m., and $7 specialty cocktails. Between 1 and 4 p.m. on Sundays, the bar offers Mixology 101, a class that offers tastes of cocktails, lively conversation about the art of mixology, and instruction from mixologists themselves. Each class is $40, and students get 15% off any food order at Jade Bar in Scottsdale for taking the class. Private classes also are available and have to be reserved.
