Phil’s Filling Station

A trip back in time, Phil’s Filling Station in Fountain Hills has been around since 1997. A combination sports bar and nostalgic diner, this place is covered with memorabilia. Family and dog friendly (on the patio), Phil’s is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bring the entire family for a trip down memory lane to one of the best places to eat in Scottsdale.

Personality

Phil’s has sort of a split personality; one side is all sports bar, full of neon, team logos, pennants, and plenty of beer signs, along with 9 HDTVs just to make sure you don’t miss any game that’s on! The other side of the diner has rooms full of Coca Cola memorabilia. Walls are chock-full of Coke cans, clocks, old advertisements and other memorabilia. And there’s a NY Yankee Room for all those displaced Yankee fans! You can also sit out on the patio, where you can enjoy a view of the fountain.

And, if you love old cars, make a note that every Sunday, October through May, from 10am until 2pm, antique cars are on display in the back parking lot. Its “Cruisin’ @ Phil’s” time.

The Menu at Phil’s Filling Station

There are over 250 items on the menu! Here are a few of the choices you’ll have. For breakfast, there are eggs, omelets, classics like biscuits & gravy or corned beef hash, pancakes, and the ever-popular avocado toast and chicken & waffles.

The Lunch & Dinner menus start off with appetizers including Crispy Green Beans, and Jalapeno Curds among the usual suspects. Sliders, quesadillas, wings and pizzas are there, as is an entire page of soups and salads, with several gluten-free options. Another page is filled with burger, dogs and sub choices. Try the Mac Cheesy; this burger is topped with grilled mac ’n’ cheese. And there’s a page full of sandwiches and pasta too. You can get your Lobster & Shrimp Mac & Cheese fix right here. There are plenty of healthy options as well, starting with the Grilled Asparagus appetizer.

House Specials include some choices you don’t see much anymore, like Wiener-Schnitzel and Liver & Onions. And, several taco choices have been added to the menu. There are a few options for the kids and of course there are several desserts to choose from, including Phil’s Famous Mud Pie and Homemade Rice Pudding. Yum.
