Day 2 – Art
Scottsdale has become known internationally as heaven for any art collector. As you wander through the galleries in Old Town, you’ll find fine art from around the world and from local artists too. For Native American art, you must visit the Grey Wolf Gallery. They have beautiful jewelry, pottery, hand woven baskets, and amazing ceremonial masks – all ready to add to your collection. Day 3 – Shopping
For upscale shopping, head to Scottsdale’s Fashion Square – the Southwest’s premier shopping and dining destination. Shops at this Scottsdale luxury mall include Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Carolina Herrera, Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany and Prada. And, there are award-winning dining establishments too, like Nobu, Ocean 44 and Toca Madera to name a few.

Day 4 – Desert Botanical Gardens
Nestled among the red rocks of the Papago Buttes is the Desert Botanical Garden. Walk among the cacti and succulents while learning about desert habitat and the area’s history. Plan your trip around one of the many events the Garden hosts year-round – the Devour Culinary Classic, Agave on the Rocks, the Electric Desert – or plan on attending one of the many Sunday Concerts in the Garden.

Day 5 – Museums
Among the many area museums, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) stands out. Designed by award-winning architect Will Bruder, the SMoCA features modern and contemporary art from around the world. Stroll through the museum’s exhibit spaces or attend one of the museum’s lectures or programs. The courtyard has one of James Turrell’s famous Skyspaces; it’s worth the trip just to see this amazing space.

Day 6 – Vineyards
There are so many amazing vineyards in the area around Scottsdale! The LDV Winery is located in the Chiricahua Mountains (about 3-1/2 hours from Scottsdale) and the vineyard produces several Rhone-varietals. LDV’s Winery Tasting Room is located in the heart of Old Scottsdale, and you can enjoy your wine while viewing the art inside or sit on the shaded patio and people watch all while enjoying award-winning wines. Day 7 – Performing Arts
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the ASU Kerr Cultural Center is located in a historic adobe originally the residence of Louise Lincoln Kerr. There is sure to be a musical or theatrical performance scheduled during your visit that you will enjoy. Upcoming events include ‘Composer’s Choice Featuring Nokuthula Ngwenyama’ and Quarteto Nuevo.
