This casual, family friendly diner has been family owned for three generations. Their ingredients are fresh, local and organic. Plus, their coffee is locally roasted and ground fresh for each pot; we all know there’s nothing worse than getting a cup of coffee that’s been sitting on the burner for hours!
Open for breakfast and lunch daily, this is the place to go for good home cooking with a little twist. And PERK Eatery in Phoenix AZ has been featured on the Food Network’s show Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives. Guy knows good food, and here is some of the best food in Phoenix!
Breakfast
PERK’s breakfast menu includes eggs (any style), Bacon Breakfast Tacos, Huevos Rancheros, Steak & Eggs, and several scrambled options. There are several benedicts to choose from, including the Florentine Benny, the Country Bacon Benny and the Steak Benny (filet medallions, mushrooms, spinach and Brandy Cream Sauce, YUM!).
Omelette choices include the Border Patrol (chorizo, black beans, sautéed onions and cheddar topped with cilantro jalapeno sauce), the Sonoma (smoked ham, bacon, roasted red peppers, garlic and Swiss cheese), and the Irishman (house made corned beef, sautéed mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheese). Healthy options include the Seasonal Fruit Plate and Oatmeal.
And there are pancakes, waffles, French toast, corned beef country style hash, breakfast sandwiches and burritos too. Guy choices included the Breakfast Enchiladas and the Wine Country French Toast (stuffed with French brie, topped with roasted red grapes and red wine rosemary syrup). You can’t go wrong with either one, because this is the best food in Phoenix!
Lunch
Lunch choices include some interesting sandwiches choices. There’s the Mucho Smoocho (turkey breast, bacon, tomatoes, coleslaw, melted swiss cheese, secret sauce on rye), and the For Pete’s Steak (steak topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions and swiss, on a ciabatta).
Stick with the classics and order a burger or patty melt, a Turkey Reuben or Corned Beef Rueben, Grilled Cheese, Quesadillas, Tuna Melt, or a BLT. Several salad options are also available for those healthy eaters out there. Drink options include coffee, tea, Hot Milk Chocolate, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Chai Latte, fresh squeezed orange juice and sodas. And there are several menu items just for the kids.
