It’s the Fourth of July, time for fireworks, family reunions, cook-outs and baseball. It’s time to celebrate everything American! If you’re staying in the area during Scottsdale July 4th, don’t worry – there are plenty of patriotic celebrations for the entire family. Here are our suggestions for a glorious Fourth!

Fireworks & More During Scottsdale July 4th

Independence Day wouldn’t be complete without fireworks! Head over to McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park for their annual free concert and fireworks. Go early and spend some time in the railroad museum, then ride the train and the antique carousel. This year’s free fireworks show will be held on June 30th after the free Garth Brooks concert.

As always, the Phoenix Zoo is the place to be for holiday fun, and Scottsdale 4th of July is no exception. Their “4th of Zooly” celebration starts at 7pm with a catered BBQ dinner and fun events for the kids: free carousel rides, animal encounters and more. Go early so you’ll have to time to visit the newest addition to the zoo – Rayma, a female Bornean orangutan – and the other 3,000 animals! Watch the Tempe Town Lake Fireworks starting at 9pm from a special zoo location! Go online to get tickets.

WestWorld’s Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration is held indoors, so you won’t have to bear the hot July sun while enjoying a little patriotic celebrating. This family-friendly party starts at 4:30 and boasts bull riding, BMX stunt bike riders, pony rides, stunt dog show, a petting zoo and more – all before the fireworks start at 9:00pm. You can get tickets for the entire day, or just for the Fireworks Show. Visit their website for ticket prices.

Wet’n’Wild, just a short drive away in Phoenix, will have two fireworks shows – on Wednesday, July 3rd and on Thursday, July 4th. Take the entire family to Arizona’s biggest waterpark. Keep cool on the 30+ water attractions. Ride the flume slides, experience waves, waterfalls and rapids, or just lounge around. After a long hard day of water action, enjoy the fireworks! Check their website for ticket prices and times.

Fireworks & Baseball

What could be more American than baseball and fireworks? Nothing! Enjoy America’s favorite pastime during Scottsdale July 4th and stay for the fireworks spectacular after the game. Grab a hot dog and some popcorn and sit back to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks play the Rockies on July 5th. You can find the Diamondbacks playing ball in Chase Field in nearby Phoenix.
