Celebrations at our Phoenix Winter Monthly Rentals
Start things out easy. Grab the kids and head to the Phoenix Zoo for their Noon Year’s Eve. With over 30 tons of snow, bounce houses, games and prizes, the kids will love it! Don’t forget the animal exhibits, camel rides, giraffe feeding, and pedal boat rides too. And of course, the drop at noon. Each year the zoo drop features different things – like dung beetle balls!
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix has plenty of exhibits and activities for your kids to enjoy year long too, but during the holidays they add the ever popular Sock Skating event! It’s too much fun! The museum’s children’s New Year’s celebration includes more holiday-themed exhibits and live music plus a traditional confetti and balloon drop. With either the zoo or museum, it’ll be the start of a New Year’s celebration they’ll remember forever!
Go the formal route and spend the evening with the Phoenix Symphony. There’s a cocktail reception, three-course dinner and dancing. If that all seems too much, just start the evening off with the symphony’s New Year’s Eve concert, then head out to your favorite night spot to finish the year.
Or reserve a seat at your favorite restaurant for an extravagant meal with complimentary champagne. End the year on a sophisticated note with the festivities at the Prado at the Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, The Royal Palms Resort, or The Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain; each has their own twist on the festivities, and each will be fabulous as always. Many restaurants will have their own take on the holiday festivities. Choose your favorite or let the staff at Parsons Villas help you make the hard choice. We’ve been in the area for years and know all the best dining, party spots, and Phoenix winter monthly rentals.
For a more casual celebration, try the Roosevelt Row Arts District’s Flannel Ball. Come as you are! Festivities include lots of beer, live music, a midnight champagne toast and piñata drop. Feel like a masquerade party? Live music or DJs? Country, rock, oldies, indie or jazz? There’s a bar in Phoenix that will be playing your song. Start with Bar Smith, the Rhythm Room, Hard Rock Café, the Duce, The Nash, the Crescent Ballroom, Valley Bar, SideBar or Char’s. Stay in one spot or just bar hop the night away.
At the Talking Stick Resort in nearby Scottsdale, Raven’s New Year’s Galas are legendary. You can party the night and year away in the resort’s two-level ballroom or try your luck at the casino. Celebrate a “Prohibition-style” party at the Gin & Jazz at Heritage Square downtown, where you can get your fill of bathtub gin and flappers. The “Gold Affair Gala” promotes itself as the “sexiest New Year Eve’s party in the Valley.” The Rhythm Room will be hosting Phoenix born Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns – this 8-piece band will have you up and dancing in no time.
And for something completely different, put a medieval twist on your celebration at the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Scottsdale. Enjoy a four-course dinner while watching knights on horseback jousting and sword fighting. There’s dancing and a champagne toast too to finish things off.
Want to really let loose and end the year on a wild note? The Rawhide Event Center in nearby Chandler stretches the limits with their “Decadence Arizona” every year. This two-day festival spurs its guests to totally let go. This is the time and place to shed all your inhibitions and rejoice in your inner exhibitionist. Several stages and live music set the tone for this boisterous celebration of excess. Why limit your fun to just one night?
Whether you close out the year twisting and jitterbugging to the oldies, be-bopping to some funky jazz beat, line dancing to your favorite country tune or showing off your zapateado skills – just don’t spill the champagne!
