The Children’s Museum of Phoenix has plenty of exhibits and activities for your kids to enjoy year long too, but during the holidays they add the ever popular Sock Skating event! It’s too much fun! The museum’s children’s New Year’s celebration includes more holiday-themed exhibits and live music plus a traditional confetti and balloon drop. With either the zoo or museum, it’ll be the start of a New Year’s celebration they’ll remember forever!
Go the formal route and spend the evening with the Phoenix Symphony. There’s a cocktail reception, three-course dinner and dancing. If that all seems too much, just start the evening off with the symphony’s New Year’s Eve concert, then head out to your favorite night spot to finish the year.

And for something completely different, put a medieval twist on your celebration at the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Scottsdale. Enjoy a four-course dinner while watching knights on horseback jousting and sword fighting. There’s dancing and a champagne toast too to finish things off.
Want to really let loose and end the year on a wild note? The Rawhide Event Center in nearby Chandler stretches the limits with their “Decadence Arizona” every year. This two-day festival spurs its guests to totally let go. This is the time and place to shed all your inhibitions and rejoice in your inner exhibitionist. Several stages and live music set the tone for this boisterous celebration of excess. Why limit your fun to just one night?
