Ambiance
Designed to be reminiscent of an old world villa, the décor is gold and gilt, with fresh white flowers and candles throughout. Upscale and sophisticated, romantic and intimate, this is the ultimate place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or holiday. Of course, you don’t need an excuse to dine here, as every meal at Café Monarch in Scottsdale will feel like a special occasion.
Dine inside under the crystal chandeliers and arched ceilings with decorative plaster work, or sit outside under the rustic porch. The exposed beams are strung with party lights, giving it a slightly less formal feel.
Prix Fixe Menu
The four-course, fine dining in Scottsdale menu changes frequently, so prepare to be pleasantly surprised when you arrive. Café Monarch uses fresh, local and sustainable ingredients wherever possible in combinations that will keep you coming back.
Past menus have included First Course choices of Veal Samosa, Crab Stuffed Squash Blossom, or Smoked King Salmon Rillettes. Fourth Course choices have included a Surf & Turf Trio, Citrus Crusted Chilean Sea Bass, Lamb Rack, Maple Leaf Duck Breast, Lobster Ravioli, and Bucatini ai Fruitti di Mare.
Dessert selections have included a Seasonal Fruit Trifle and Rum Cake. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available too. Plus, each server is trained in the Court of Master Sommeliers, all the better to help you select the perfect wine pairing for each course of your meal.
Reservations and Hours for Cafe Monarch in Scottsdale
Reservations are required. Call 480-970-7682 or go online to reserve your table for an amazing meal. Dinner reservation times are Sunday from 5:30pm to 8pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, and Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, and Café Monarch is closed on Mondays. They are located at 6939 East 1st Avenue in downtown Scottsdale, in Old Town.
