Where to Stay and What Type of Vacation Rental to Choose?

Are you looking for modern condos in the heart of Old Town, steps away from world-class art galleries and lively nightlife? Want a secluded ranch set out on the edge of the Sonoran Desert, where your neighbors are silent, stately Saguaro cacti? Something in between? We have them all!

If you need a rental for an intimate, fun getaway, we have cozy 1-bedroom lofts in Old Town and secluded desert cabins waiting for you and your partner. If you’re hosting that long-awaited family reunion, we’ve got larger properties too – villas and luxury private residences with up to 10 bedrooms that can handle those big crowds.

What to Do While You’re Here

You can’t come to Scottsdale without experiencing the Sonoran Desert. Since it practically surrounds Scottsdale, there are various trail heads located throughout the city. You’re rental is sure to be near one.

Spend the day at Talking Stick Casino playing poker, slots and arcade games, enjoying live entertainment like Jay Leno and Jeff Foxworthy, or golfing on one of their two courses nestled in the foothills of the Sonoran Mountains, then treat yourself to a much deserved massage at their spa!

The Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve has over 120 miles of desert trails, with accessible trails and designated rock climbing areas. Choose from five trailheads where you can hike, run, bike, or ride horseback through cacti forests, rocky desert terrain, and mountains. The trails vary in length, difficulty, and terrain so there is a trail to fit every visitor’s taste and fitness level. The preserve is packed with desert wildlife too, including roadrunners, snakes and lizards, mule deer and javelina.

For a different perspective on desert living, head to Salt River where you can spend the day lazing on the shoreline, enjoy a slow, lazy tube ride past towering cliffs and desert flats, or book a guided rafting tour down the river for a day or half-day of excitement and beautiful scenery. Hire a guide for a day of fly fishing where depending on your location and the season you’ll be landing trout (perfect for grilling!), large and smallmouth bass, and carp.

Art, Architecture, Brew Pubs and More

Quaint shops, art galleries, restaurants and more abound in Old Town! Known worldwide as a destination for art lovers, Old Town is the perfect place to add to your collection or start one, whether you collect fine art or fun, tacky souvenirs. Plus, Scottsdale has one of the country’s best public art collections; you have to take a selfie in front of the iconic LOVE sculpture!

Architecture buffs will have to visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West and the nearby Cosanti Galleries (Paolo Soleri’s original studio). Scottsdale’s only National Historic Landmark, Taliesin West rises up from the rocky desert terrain, and is the perfect example of Wright’s innovation and genius. At Cosanti, take a tour and watch the daily foundry ritual of making the famous bronze Soleri windbells before you visit the gift shop to buy your own!

Why not spend a tasty afternoon crawling along the Ale Trail? Old Town has over seven breweries and beerhouses, and there are over 30 craft breweries in the greater Scottsdale area including the Scapegoat Beer & Wine Bar, Two Brothers Tap House, Papago Brewing Company, and the Pig & Pickle. Tired of the craft brew phase? Drink at your own pace on the Scottsdale Coffee Trail and Scottsdale Wine Trail instead.

Luxury VRBO in Scottsdale Amenities

Besides a variety of locations, each of our rentals has unique amenities and slightly different features to allow you to select the vacation home that will fit your group’s needs. All have fully equipped kitchens, soft comfy linens, Wi-Fi and large flat-screen TVs and cable throughout. It’s easy to keep in touch with the office, the kids’ school or just binge watch your favorite movies.

Most of our larger luxury vacation homes have gourmet kitchens, private pools, fire pits and outdoor grilling areas, private putting greens, pool tables and large private yards for those impromptu family tournaments. Select a luxury vacation home with a hot tub out by the pool so you can enjoy the warm, swirling jets as they soothe those tired aching muscles after a long hard day hiking through the desert or Old Town galleries. Then get the fire pit going, show the kids how to roast s’mores and spend the rest of the evening stargazing.

With such a wide selection of great VRBO rentals in Scottsdale, Arizona to choose from, it may be hard to make that final decision. Just give us a call, and we can help make your stay here in Scottsdale amazing!
